Indulge in the enchanting panorama of the Venetian Lagoon from the comfort of a Deluxe Lagoon View Double room. Admire hand blown Murano glass lamps and chandeliers paired with unique historic detailing. These rooms are located either in the magnificent 14th century Palazzo Dandolo or Palazzo Casa Nuova with cream tapestries and pastel furnishings. Room 10 offers a particularly auspicious history as it was here that the renowned love affair between French novelist George Sand and writer Alfred De Musset began.

Offering magnificent views of the lagoon and its islands, the enchanting Riva degli Schiavoni and the busy Grand Canal, our Luxury Lagoon View Rooms are located in the Palazzo Danieli Excelsior. These rooms capture the essence of a Gothic aesthetic with gorgeous deep red draperies framing the picture windows, and high ceilings with a wide gilt moulding. Floor to ceiling curved wardrobe doors covered in pale artichoke and forest green damask shimmer in the light of hand blown Murano glass chandeliers.

Located in the Palazzo Danieli Excelsior, these rooms offer stunning views from a wrought iron balcony with wood-trimmed french doors. Celebrated designer Jacques Garcia has renewed our Luxury Lagoon View Double rooms to illustrate the drama and richness of the Gothic era. A blend of contemporary sensibility and Gothic style, these rooms offer a dramatic counterpoint to the watery still life of the lagoon beyond. Sit back and relax in the deep red upholstered armchairs, perfectly angled to take full advantage of the room's mesmerizing views.

Paying tribute to the Gothic opulence of the Palazzo Dandolo's main hall, our Executive Suites have been renovated to Gothic splendor.  Taking their inspiration from the strong lines and colors of Palazzo Dandolo's historical hall, these suites feature a private sitting area separated from the bedroom by a beautiful wood-trimmed archway. Admire crimson drapes, exquisite glass chandeliers curated on the nearby island of Murano and parquet flooring with oriental rugs. These suites feature an opulent sitting room with high ceilings framed by gilt molding, dramatic black ebony stained parquet flooring and doge-red drapes creating a seductive setting. Intimate lighting envelops the suite from hand blown Murano glass lighting and the suite bedroom is dominated by a magnificent scrolled headboard and etched mirrors either side of The Luxury Collection bed reflecting the precious fabrics in the suite.

Newly restored in Spring 2012, French interior designer Pierre-Yves Rochon has masterfully detailed three unique suites inspired by glamorous female celebrities of cinema, opera and fashion who selected Hotel Danieli to celebrate important milestones in their lifetime. Guests are welcomed by dramatic high ceilings, antique furnishings, magnificent details of craftmanship, spectacular views of the San Giorgio Island, the Grand Canal and Punta della Dogana.  They boast original parquet or terrazzo alla veneziana floors and are adorned by antique Murano mirrors and priceless paintings.

This suite is dedicated, as it has always been, to Doge Enrico Dandolo, 41st Doge of the Most Serene Venetian Republic. Holding the corner setting on the Piano Nobile of Palazzo Dandolo, its private stand up balconies overlook the Venice Lagoon with 180° views of the Grand Canal. The suite's salon is framed by antique portraits by 19th century Venetian artist Ermolao Paoletti and an extensive bookcase that showcases rare silver pieces from the hotel’s private collection. The bedroom ceiling is graced with an original 18th Century fresco by Jacopo Guarana which was restored by the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice. Antique carpets lend warmth to heritage Venetian terrazzo floors and floor to ceiling gold tinged silk curtains filter the reflections from the lagoon waters outside.
